The Act-Out Ensemble will present I.D.E.A.’s 2027 line-up of interactive state mandates training at the New Haven Police Department on February 23, 2027 with one session starting at 2pm!
This refreshing approach delivers law enforcement a new meaning to state mandated training, only takes 2 hours, and covers the following: De-escalation Training; Interacting with Persons with Mental Illness, Addictive Disorders, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, Developmental Disabilities, and Alzheimer’s Disease or Related Senile Dementia; Mental Health and Wellness of Law Enforcement Officers Including Managing the Stress and Trauma of Policing: (A) Healthy Coping Skills to Preserve the Mental Health of Law Enforcement Officers and Manage the Stress and Trauma of Policing, (B) Recognizing: Symptoms of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, and Signs of Suicidal Behavior, and (C) Information on Mental Health Resources Available for Law Enforcement Officers; Training Concerning: (A) Human and Sexual Trafficking, (B) High Risk Missing Persons; Continuing Local-State-Federal Education Involving Domestic and Child Abuses, SIDS, Endangered Adults, CPR, Heimlich Maneuver, NIMS, Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazardous Materials, and Familiarization with Reflective Clothing Rule.
This unique way of presenting state mandated training was developed by the Indiana Drug Enforcement Association and has been seen and approved by the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
